Day 2: Reid Harbor, Stuart Island 48 40.299 N 123 11.308 W

This is our first anchorage on this trip ... The sun is setting, the boys are in bed, the dishes are done, having a glass of wine in the pilothouse, watching other boats arrive and anchor ...

An uneventful short trip (12 miles) from Friday Harbor to here. After we anchored, we took the dinghy to shore, and went for a wonderful walk through the woods of the state park on the island. Tall cedars, eagles, bright flowers growing out of the moss on the rocks.

We're thinking of spending a second night here before heading back into Canada (Where harbor is spelt harbour). Or not: it all depends on how things look here when we wake up tomorrow morning.

This is also the first blog entry where we can't go back to look at the blog and see how it looks, we're sending it via the SSB (single sideband radio), and we have no internet access.
